A cloud PBX is, in basic terms, a business phone system hosted by the service provider or in a cloud service such as Azure. Free cloud PBX services are available that will meet the needs of small businesses. In most cases, part of the service is free perpetually, or the service is free on a trial basis. A private branch exchange PBX is an office phone system that provides call routing to internal extensions, as well as connection to the public switched telephone network PSTN.
